Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including organisation name, contact name, email address, and phone number when you apply to use SierraVote. We also collect transaction data including vote counts and payment amounts (but never your full card or bank details — all payments go through Monime). Voter phone numbers are stored in encrypted form and are never shared.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information to operate the platform, process vote payments, send you payout receipts, and contact you about your account. We do not sell your data to third parties. Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be used to improve the platform.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Monime. SierraVote does not store payment card details or mobile money PINs. When a voter pays, their mobile money number is hashed (SHA-256) for duplicate detection and encrypted (AES-256) for dispute resolution. The plain phone number is never logged.

Data Retention

Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 2 years to support financial audits and dispute resolution. You may request deletion of your organisation account and associated data by contacting support@sierravote.com.

Cookies

SierraVote uses only session cookies necessary for admin authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No third-party analytics scripts are loaded on voter-facing pages.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email support@sierravote.com. We will respond within 30 days.
